Vacant Building Fire in Fresno's Chinatown

Fire damaged a downtown Fresno building in the Chinatown Area that has been hit by a series of suspicious fires since the summer.It happened at about 8 a.m. Saturday morning on Mariposa and "F" streets, near the Basque Hotel.

Thick smoke came up from the building as firefighters tried to snuff the flames.

The building is vacant and it's been hit by fire before. It burned in one of three suspicious fires in June.
