Storyland & Playland Closing for the winter

Reopening in February 2010The rides have come to a stop for the winter at the amusement parks inside Roeding Park.

Storyland and Playland shut down today at 5:30, and they'll be closed until February.

The parks saw increased attendance again this year, despite the recession.

They were up seven percent over last year when the parks had their highest attendance in 15 years.

When they open their doors next year, Storyland will have a remodeled pirate ship, and Playland will have a new train depot.
