Dashcam Video of Shootout Released by Kansas City Police

Kansas City Police released dramatic dash-cam video of a deadly shootout involving two of their officers three months ago.The dashcam video caught the moment officers shot a suspect who was going to be questioned about leaving the scene of a car crash.

When the first officer arrived, the suspect was videotaped as he approached the officer's vehicle with a handgun. And then the two exchanged gunfire.

his partner's dashcam caught the incident from another angle ... showing the wounded officer as he fell to the ground, then get up.

The wounded suspect fell to the ground, but with his finger on the trigger, forcing both officers to shoot and kill him.

The officers were placed on paid administrative leave but were later cleared. Police say toxicology reports showed there was alcohol and marijuana in the suspect's system.
