The transportation security administration may soon extend the use of whole body security scanners, at airports around the country ... following the attempted bombing of a plane over Detroit. The equipment will be installed at Amsterdam's Airport within the next three weeks. The Netherlands and Nigeria have also agreed to use the hi-tech device. The equipment can detect just about any kind of material attached to the body.

On Christmas day, a 23-year old Nigerian man boarded a plane bound for Detroit with explosive chemicals. He tried to detonate the device with a syringe but was unsuccessful.
