Pat Hill takes the academic success of his student-athletes very seriously. He tracks their progress from the time they make a commitment to attend Fresno State as high school seniors through their graduation. With Fresno State's acclaimed "Academic Gameplan" program, instituted by Associate Head Coach John Baxter, the Bulldog football team has been a national leader in producing high academic numbers, from extremely strong Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores to individuals being recognized on a national level for their academic accomplishments.

That has never been more true than this year, as 18 Bulldogs made the 2009 Academic All-WAC team, announced today from the league office in Denver. That's the most in school history.

It breaks the previous record of 16 Bulldogs selected in 2007.
