Heavy Rain Causes Some Delays

FRESNO, Calif.

Heavy rain hit the streets of Downtown Fresno Saturday afternoon, puddling on the roads and forcing people to break out umbrellas.

The snow was blowing sideways Saturday afternoon at Sierra Summit. Our ABC30 Skycam caught skiers and snowboarders on the slopes as the snow came down pretty hard.

They've gotten more than a foot of snow over the last three days.

The rain may have played a role in a pair of accidents in Fresno Saturday afternoon.

The highway patrol shut down one lane of traffic on highway 99 after a car spun out near highway 180.

The car's front end got smashed and a tow truck had to get it off the road. And two people had to be taken away in ambulances after a car rear ended a minivan in Southeast Fresno. The car's front fender came off in the accident and a few more victims were treated on the scene.
