Fresno Man Arrested, Child Pornography Discovered

FRESNO, Calif. Sullivan's neighbors said even though he tried to befriend them, they kept their distance. They are thankful he did not have the opportunity to be alone with their children.

Patrick Sullivan lived alone in a Central Fresno home ... investigators said they found hundreds of inappropriate images of young girls saved on his computer ... detectives suspect he's been collecting them from the internet.

Sheriff's said Sullivan has a lengthy criminal past, but none of his prior arrests involve child pornography. Tim Goodwin is Sullivan's next door neighbor. He said one thing in particular always made him feel uneasy about getting too comfortable with him. He said, "I know he offered quite a few times to give piano lessons or guitar lessons to my daughters, which I didn't want to do because I don't know him just seemed kinda different I guess you could say."

Sullivan's MySpace describes his love of music. Although neighbors said he was unemployed, Sullivan lists his occupation as a fundraiser. He also includes links to several nonprofit organizations that benefit children. Investigators said at this point, they have no evidence to suggest he ever acted on his feelings.

Friday night Sullivan's father, declined to talk about his son's arrest. He told Action News he was unaware of why his son was in jail.

Neighbors said Sullivan's behavior was erratic at times. Just a few weeks ago the Fire Department was called out after an attempt to set the house on fire. Several holes were burned into the carpet during the incident.

Sullivan remains in jail on felony charges.
