Doctors in Washington State had one wild patient on their hands Friday.A Grizzly bear named stoke underwent an MRI at Washington State University.

Stoke made the eight hour journey to the hospital all the way from his home in Montana.

Veterinarians wanted to check the big bear's hip and spine because he was having problems walking.

The MRI is just the first step in what vets hope will be a successful effort to get Stoke walking freely again.

"We have bears that limb every now and then...but nothing like this, nothing like this," Libby Scott, an animal curator said.

Stoke is about 15 years old and weighs 575 pounds.
