Fresno's Community Regional Medical Center announced that it's eliminating some positions. A total of 38-jobs, mostly filled by part-time employees, were cut. Those employees will be placed on a recall list with the potential to be placed into other open positions.

Community Hospital Downtown blames a recent decrease in Medi-Cal reimbursements, along with an increase in the level of bad patient debt as a reason for the layoffs.
