Kids clothes for half the price

Valley moms are finding bargains and earning some extra cash in one of the valley's largest consignment sales. The "Just Between Friends" consignment sale opened up to the public Sunday at the Sequoia Mall in Visalia.

There, you can find all kinds of kids' items like baby strollers, toys, and racks full of gently used clothing.

This year, nearly 400 moms are participating earning up to 70 percent on the sale of each item.

The owner of the Visalia just between friends franchise says participation is up this year, as the economy continues to struggle.

"You know, you send so much money on kids items and baby items. And you use them for such a short period of time and they're in really good condition, so you don't want to sell them at a garage sale and earn a dollar and so this is a chance for moms to earn some more money," Kim Colburn, Just Between Friends said.

The consignment sale continues through Saturday at the Sequoia Mall, after that, whatever isn't sold will be donated to south valley charities.

And just in case you were wondering, there is another sale planned for Fresno but you'll have to wait until April.
