Police say teen was crossing on red light when hit

LOS ANGELES Police said late Friday that Julia Siegler was struck first by a driver who appeared to brush her with a sideview mirror, causing her to lose her balance. She was then struck by a second vehicle driven by a juvenile who ran over her. Siegler died at a hospital.

Police say the driver of the first vehicle stopped to talk to the Harvard-Westlake Middle School student's mother before driving away but did not identify himself. A black Toyota also stopped at the scene but left before police arrived. Police announced late Friday that they had located both vehicles and drivers. No arrests have been made.
