Low water pressure still affected the five upper floors at CRMC Wednesday. Marjorie Love said the water woes were still the topic of conversation among hospital staff as she checked her husband in to the E.R. "She said they didn't have any water to drink in there, and no water to flush the toilet, it was awful!" said Love.

Hospital officials said they were able to fix the problem hours after it popped up Monday, but water pressure has been impacted since. Those on the affected floors have been given in-bed baths. "Even though the water line is fixed, it triggers a two step process before you can get fully back to normal. Step one is to test the system. And then step two is to test the water quality. There's a process to follow that takes a couple of days," said CRMC Senior V.P. of Communications John Zelezny.

Until the water is deemed safe to drink, all water fountains remain covered. Hospital visitors said they're getting the message. "By seeing the plastic coverings and stuff, that gave us a pretty good idea that it probably wasn't a good idea to be drinking it," said Gabriel Perez.

Selezny said critical care and trauma operations were never affected and only non-essential surgeries were postponed. The hospital expected water pressure issues to be fixed by the end of the day Wednesday and everything to be completely back to normal by Friday.
