Fresno Police: No Kidnapping in Fresno Chase

FRESNO, Calif. Early Friday morning Police say they received a call from a concerned parent. She said her daughter told her she was being kidnapped by three men.

Police closed in on the suspect's S.U.V. in Northwest Fresno after the daughter used her cell phone to send a text message to her mother. But the driver refused to pull over, leading officers on a chase reaching 80 miles an hour.

The three men inside the car tried to run away, but officers caught up with all three of them. The woman was found safe and uninjured inside the car.

The three men now face possible weapons and stolen vehicle charges. It was later determined that the girl had willingly entered the car with the three men and there was not a kidnapping attempt.
