15-Year-Old Drunk Driver Crashed into Merced Police Car

FRESNO, Calif. A Merced Police Officer was out of the patrol car helping a disabled motorist when the teen crashed into his unit early Friday morning. After a brief pursuit, the 15-year-old driver ... and 30-year-old Aron Martin were detained.

The officer discovered the young driver and Martin had been drinking just before the crash. Martin was arrested for felony child endangerment and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The 15-year-old, who is not being identified because of his age, was arrested for driving under the influence and later released to a guardian.
