The Tulare County Sheriff's Office says someone shot and killed 27-year-old Miguel Rodriguez after an argument.
Deputies were able to respond quickly because they heard the gunfire.
"We did have deputies in the orosi area and they actually heard the gunshots and then we were flagged down by um a citizen that said someone had been injured so we did seek medical aid for the person. Unfortunately when they arrived at the hospital they had already succumbed to their injuries," said Sgt. Chris Douglass with the Tulare Co. Sheriff's Office.
Authorities don't have a motive for the shooting.
