Over the course of his decades-long career in broadcasting, Isom made his mark in both radio and television news.
Isom was a former anchor and reporter for ABC 30. He's covered many major stories in the Valley including most recently the farmer's water crisis and this year's Ag Expo, even though he was sick.
For those of us who worked with him, or encountered him in the field, he will be remembered as a professional and caring journalist, and an all-around good guy.
His daughter Cathy also worked for ABC30 at one time as an assignment editor. News was his business, and in his blood.
Roy Isom was 72 years old. Funeral services are pending.
