Retirement complex fire in Downtown Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. Firefighters were called to the silver crest apartments at about 7:45 Sunday night. Crews say the apartment's sprinkler system put out the fire and there was minor fire damage to the one unit.

Fire officials say the person living there had fallen and could not remember what happened. That person was taken to the hospital.

There was major water damage from the sprinkler system to the 6th and 7th floors and several people were forced from their homes.

The apartment management was working on finding them a place to stay.
