Serial graffiti vandals arrested in Merced County

MERCED COUNTY, Calif.

Members of the task force said they caught two teens in the act as they spray painted a fence. The teens initially ran away, but officers were able to locate their getaway driver. When they pulled the vehicle over they found 28 cans of spray paint and the teens had paint on their clothing and fingernails.

The two teens are facing several charges, including felony vandalism and resisting arrest. The driver faces charges of possession of aerosol paint by a minor and driving without a license.

After questioning, one teen admitted to at least one more piece of graffiti and officers have connected him to several others. More charges are pending.
