A judge sentenced Rick Morse to fifteen days in jail Friday morning for violating an order prohibiting marijuana dispensaries in the city of Fresno.
Morse could have avoided jail by closing his store and doing 100 hours of community service. But hours after that ruling in March, he re-opened his store.
Around 5:30 p.m. -- Morse was released from the Fresno County Jail because of overcrowding.
Meanwhile, Morse's son has since re-opened Med-Mar for patients.
The city will now try to get an order to let police physically shut it down.
