Merced County correctional officer assaulted
FRESNO, Calif. The attack happened at the John Latorraca Correctional Facility in Merced County. Authorities say the officer got into a scuffle with 29-year-old Nick Ballez and 23-year-old Liborio Saille Wednesday morning as the officer was delivering meals.
