Internet crunch, running out of IP Addresses

FRESNO, California Computer scientists estimate that within eighteen months, the number of new devices able to connect to the World Wide Web will plummet as we run out of "IP Addresses".

Those are the unique codes that provide access to the internet for everything from PC's to smart phones. This does not mean the internet will stop working, but experts say entry could be limited.

A system for more "IP Addresses" is already in place, but analysts say businesses are proving slow to adapt their technology to the new system.
