Former FCC QB Emanuel Lewis gets probation in drug case

FRESNO, Calif.

Former Tulare High School and Fresno City College Quarterback Emanuel Lewis was convicted of selling or offering to sell cocaine and ecstasy. But he has no previous criminal history. The deal means the 22-year-old Lewis will not face any jail time.

He was sentenced to a Salvation Army drug treatment program instead of a possible prison term of more than five years. Lewis will also be allowed to finish the program in Alabama, where he plans to attend college.
