Violent Sunday morning in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif.

Fresno police say one man was shot this morning just before 4 a.m. at Trinity and O'Neill.

Officers say they found a 30 year-old suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

This is the city's 26-th homicide of the year, compared to 13 at this time last year.

Earlier in the morning officers were also called out to Calaveras and "B" streets for a stabbing in Downtown Fresno. Officers say a 42-year-old man suffered multiple stab wounds.

He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center where he's expected to recover from his injuries.
