At the event Whitman outlined her plan for California. She also responded to her opponent Steve Poisner's ads saying that she does not support Arizona's controversial new immigration law.
"We have to secure the border of the Unites States of America, we've got to hold the employers accountable for only hiring documented workers and we have got to eliminate sanctuary cities," said Meg Whitman.
Also at Sunday's event were protesters from the California Nurses Association. They dressed up as "Queen Meg" mocking the candidate. They accuse her of buying votes.
She has spent more than $80-million so far; $70-million of it from her own bank account.
Her opponent, Steve Poizner campaigned today in Los Angeles County where he spoke at a church.
