Police: Dutchman confesses to killing Lima woman

LIMA, Peru

Now, the father of Natalee Holloway hopes Van der Sloot comes clean about his daughter's death, too.

"Yeah, it's just - she's never going to be found. I think."

Joran Van der Sloot has appeared to confess to murder before. But this time, Peruvian police say he made the admission to them

The 22-year-old Dutchman reportedly told investigators he attacked 21-year- old Stephany Flores when she took his laptop.

Police say he tearfully admitted, "I did not want to do it. The girl intruded into my private life. She had no right, I confronted her, she was frightened, we argued and she wanted to get away. I grabbed her by her neck and I hit her,"

Surveillance video shows he brought Stephany to the hotel in the early morning hours on May 30. Moments later, a camera upstairs captures them walking into Joran's room.

This is the last time Stephany is seen alive. Four hours later, Joran leaves the hotel room alone. Stephany's body was discovered in his hotel room three days later.

"Police now have Joran's laptop", says Stephany's father. "It contains valuable information," Ricardo Flores said. Stephany's murder took place on the five- year anniversary of Natalee Holloway's disappearance in Aruba. It has sparked new interest in Van der Sloot's role.

"He has confessed to this one and I would like for him to tell everyone what happened," Dave Holloway said.

U.S. authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Van der Sloot, saying $15,000 was wired to a Netherlands bank by someone in Alabama, allegedly for Van der Sloot to provide information about what happened to Natalee.

Authorities in Peru are apparently pressing Van der Sloot for more details about what happened to the Alabama teen.
