The Latino Legislative Caucus is holding a field hearing at 5:30 Thursday evening at the Kettleman City School.
Kettleman City residents are fighting to have the facility shut down. They blame the facility for at least eleven babies born with birth defects since 2007.
Back in April, The Environmental Protection Agency said the facility improperly disposed of chemicals linked to cancer and other health problems.
Chemical Waste Management runs the dump. It says there's no evidence linking the dump to the birth defects.
