It happened at an apartment complex near Madera Avenue and Almond Ave around 4 p.m.
Officers said they received a call that a man had been shot and when they arrived they found Jorge Vasquez lying in a pool of blood in a garage. Officers say that Vasquez had been shot multiple times.
Witnesses say suspects approached the man on foot and then ran away after the shooting. The motive is under investigation.
