Suspicious four-alarm apartment fire in Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif.

Fresno Firefighters are putting out hotspots in a four-alarm apartment fire in Central Fresno Wednesday morning. Several FAX buses have been brought to the scene to temporarily house people affected by the fire.

Firefighters confirmed there was an explosion in the fire and the explosion was caught on tape. Authorities have questioned a possible suspect.

The four-alarm fire damaged between 16 and 24 apartment units. Fire officials say the fire was suspicious because it burned very hot and very quickly.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital for unknown reasons. But there have been no other injuries reported. A portion of Blackstone and Griffith is blocked to traffic.
