Investigators found the brand new can in an orchard along with the charred body of 26-year-old Juan Dominguez.
Deputies say the can had a barcode on it that was traced to Wal-Mart in Dinuba.
From there, detectives tracked when the can was bought and then they located surveillance video.
The victim's ex-wife, Flor Perez and her boyfriend, Miguel Enciso are under arrest. Investigators say they confessed to the murder.
