Hanford High football coach arrested for child pornography

FRESNO, Calif.

Investigators say they had a lot of evidence to go through, including nearly ten hours of pornographic videos involving children.

Investigators with the Kings County District Attorney's office say images found on 33-year-old Eric Rodriguez's computer are both disturbing and graphic. They say the Hanford High School football coach had a total of 30 pornographic videos.

An affidavit, obtained by Action News says the videos show sex acts involving girls as young as four-years-old.

Some even had titles relating to Rodriguez's profession, including "Sex with Teacher," "Sex in the Classroom" and "My First Sex Teacher."

"I don't know him personally, but I have seen him. It's very disturbing that someone in our community that our children are entrusted to that was doing this."

The Kings County District Attorney's office started its case against Rodriguez back in April when they raided his Hanford home.

A neighbor, who does not want us to use his name ... claims Rodriguez always had young girls stop by his house. And with a daughter starting Hanford High in the fall, news of Rodriguez's arrest makes him question the school, as well as his own neighbors.

"I didn't expect you know things happen like that around my neighborhood."

Rodriguez has worked for Hanford High School since 2005. But, investigators do not believe any of his students are victims.

Still, some students say they had their suspicions about Rodriguez, and that his recent arrest does little to resolve their concerns.

"Students weren't really surprised. Some kind of got nervous with that feeling of knowing that teachers are around them every day are doing things like that. It makes them really weary."

I did speak with someone from the district who says they are cooperating with the investigation. Rodriguez will be arraigned in federal court Thursday afternoon.
