Pole vaulters showcase in Old Town Clovis

FRESNO, Calif.

That's Armand Duplantis from Lafayette, Louisiana. He routinely jumps higher than 12 ½ feet.

Friday night he, and others wowed the crowd of thousands at this year's North American Pole Vaulting Association Championships.

Competitors included the top male and female jumpers at the high school and college level.

And they all say Clovis is a great place to show their skills. "It looks great, I mean I've done a lot of street jumps but this has the reputation of being the best," U.S. National Champion, Mark Hollis said.

This is the 16th straight year this competition has been held in Old Town Clovis.
