Monday, Mexicana suspended flights after it was forced to file for bankruptcy protection. The airline is in a major labor dispute.
Fresno airport officials say they'll give Mexicana 90 days to get things turned around. They said the daily Mexicana flight to Guadalajara is its most popular.
"Every year they go to Guadalajara.... it's inconvenient now," said Mexicana customer Antonio Martinez.
Airport officials say they have already been in talks with other potential Mexican-based carriers to fly out of Fresno, but Mexicana would still be their number one choice.
