New judge appointed to Lindsay Lohan's case

LOS ANGELES /*Judge Marsha Revel*/ removed herself from the case after a prosecutor complained she improperly contacted a rehab center about the actress' court-ordered treatment.

An L.A. County District Attorney spokeswoman said the contact with the rehab center was among several instances where revel improperly communicated with participants and experts without the prosecutor present.

/*Beverly Hills*/ Superior Court Judge Elden Fox is now handling the case.

The 24-year-old actress was released from jail Aug. 3.

She was immediately taken to a rehab facility believed to be Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where she was required to spend 90 days.

/*Lohan*/ served just two weeks in jail for violating probation in a 2007 drug case.
