The body was found on Bethel near Adams around 7:40 a.m. Monday morning. The body was discovered by a field worker.
Fresno County Sheriff's Deputies said a ranch foreman called them around 7:40 a.m. Monday morning to report one of his workers found the man's body near a power transmission line in the middle of the grove.
It is not yet known if the body was dumped in the grove or if the man died there.
Investigators have started a search in a wide area around the body, working their way closer to it, to find out what caused the man's death.
"The scene is extremely important to us, so we're waiting until everybody's here. We'll start big and move in towards the body -- so we'll be out here several hours," said Chris Curtice with the Fresno County Sheriff's Office.
The victim has not been identified.
