Fresno Mayor Ashley Swearengin holds her fifth town hall meeting

FRESNO, Calif.

It was Mayor Ashley Swearengin's fifth town hall meeting. This time it was held at the Saint Anthony Mary Claret Catholic Church.

Police Chief Jerry Dyer and several other city officials were also there to hear what people had to say and answer any questions.

"Our whole goal tonight is to invite people back into their local government and answer questions they may have, get their input on issues going on our community," said Fresno Mayor Ashley Swearengin.

Patty Arriaga of Fresno said, "I'm grateful we have a mayor that really looks at actually talking to people and hearing from the people themselves."

A small group of Hispanic protesters stood outside the church, holding signs asking for reform within the Fresno Police Department.
