It happened just before 11 p.m. Sunday night on Fresno and Indianapolis in Northeast Fresno.
When officers arrived on the scene they found one man suffering from a stab wound and a second man suffering from a deep cut. Officers say it appears the two men were fighting, leading one man to stab the other.
Both men were taken to the hospital, but investigators have been unable to find the knife they think was used in the attack.
"No there hasn't been a weapon collected yet. Detectives are waiting to speak to the victim of the stabbing to try and determine if he in fact knows where the knife stayed. The suspect is still being tended to at the hospital and we haven't been able to get much information from him yet," said Anthony Martinez with the Fresno Police Department.
Officers say it appears the two men live together at the same house.
