Curriculum Director, Javier Guzman said, "These are not services that are giveaways … they're essential services not only for the parents who are unemployed, but also services that are crucial to the future development of the children."
These childcare centers say they'll look for more funding from the federal government. They also plan to ask the legislature to designate these children as a protected group so they can't go without funding in the event of another budget impasse.
