Labu is currently being hand-reared due to his mother's (Sara) difficulties producing milk. She is being given medication to hopefully stimulate milk production and Zoo staff is hopeful they will be able to reintroduce him to his mother soon.
Currently Labu is strong and nursing well. Sara and Labu will continue to be off exhibit for a yet-to-be-determined length of time.
