Because of wars overseas, just five marines are available to support the annual effort. They need new businesses and individuals to step up -- as Pelco has over the years -- to help thousands of children this holiday season.
Sgt. Chris Lecurex said, "You can't always rely on one company to save the day every year. There's a multitude of companies that can and should donate."
The United Way of Fresno County has 136,000 children on its waiting list. They're asking for cash donations to turn one dollar into seven and more toys for those children.
ABC30 will once again hold its Annual "Toys For Tots Marathon Weekend" starting Friday December third through Sunday the fifth.
