Bicyclist hit by truck in Central Fresno

It happened just after 11 p.m. Thursday night at First and Lamona in Central Fresno.

A Toyota pick-up truck hit the bicyclist, knocking him to the ground and damaging the front end of the truck. The bicyclist suffered major injuries and is now in critical condition at Community Regional Medical Center in downtown Fresno.

Police are now investigating what led to the accident, but they are saying it looks like speed was not a factor.
