Amie Marchini returned to Merced for a welcome home viewing party at one of the two assisted living facilities she runs.
Amie's best friend wrote a letter asking Oprah to pick Amie for a show about heroes because she has dedicated her life to helping seniors.
The 36-year-old says the gifts she received are amazing, but that's not the best part of her trip.
Marchini said, "The most important thing was, getting to be a part of such a special group of people who were all nominated as heroes."
Amie says now she's looking forward to learning how to use her new Nikon camera.
