House found empty after standoff in Clovis

CLOVIS, Calif.

Police waited it out several more hours, but the home turned out to be empty.

Clovis Police say, Monday afternoon, a woman reported her boyfriend had been beaten by four men who stole his wallet and forced him into his own car. The investigation took officers to a home on Barstow and Malio Drive. That's where police arrested one man after two hours.

The S.W.A.T. team was called in and they entered the home around 3 a.m. Tuesday morning believing another armed man was inside. No one was found.

The victim was taken to the hospital and released Monday night.

The investigation is still ongoing.
