Toy For Tots Marathon

FRESNO, Calif.

People came by the Riverpark Shopping Center Saturday to drop off new, unwrapped toys -- or cash -- to help the marines make this a happy holiday for kids in need.

The marines are out there all day and they make it easy to give.

"They can drive up, I mean, we are gonna be out here, all day, all night, 24 hours they just come up, we have a lot of people out here coming out here to help us. they just drop off their toys, donations and we welcome everyone," Cpl. Richard Buitron said.

And the Toys For Tots marathon weekend is still going on right now at River Park.

It continues all day and night through 8 p.m. Sunday.

Again, you can donate a new unwrapped toy, or even just one dollar, which is worth seven dollars to the marines.

The marine recruiting office in Merced is also collecting toys between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Action news is proud to be a continuing sponsor of Toys For Tots.
