Range grass growing due to wet weather

FRESNO, Calif.

The State Farm Bureau reports growth on rangeland and non-irrigated pastures has improved. A federal ag report notes green grass is showing in some foothill locations.

Ranchers have reduced supplemental feeding because natural forage has improved and some cattle and sheep are grazing on alfalfa and the leftovers of harvested crops.

The U.S.D.A. says even more rain will fill stock ponds and provide even better forage for the animals.
