Disneyland turns away visitors due to crowds

ANAHEIM, Calif.

Holiday crowds forced officials to turn away new one-park pass buyers two hours after the park opened Tuesday. Those turned away were directed to the Disney California Adventure park; they would be allowed into Disneyland later in the day after crowds had thinned.

Annual premium passholders and visitors who bought advance tickets were allowed to go in, said Betsy Sanchez, a Disneyland Resort spokeswoman.
