Man found with a gunshot wound in Central Fresno

Just before midnight, police got a call of a man lying on the sidewalk of Fresno Street near Belmont. Police found the man unconscious and say he had been shot.

Officers spent the night knocking on doors, asking people in the area if they saw anything that might help police solve this crime.

The man was taken to Community Regional Medical Center. His condition has not been released.
