She says she jumped on the vehicle because her husband had been using drugs and she was trying to stop him from driving Friday night, but that didn't work.
Instead, she says he drove all the way from Manteca to Pleasanton on the freeway while she held onto the windshield wipers and a side mirror.
The woman did not want her identity to be revealed. She said, "I was so cold, I couldn't feel my hands anymore. I didn't know if I was still holding on and he started to slow down and I figured that was the only chance I had, so I threw my body off."
Her husband, Christopher Carroll, was arrested and faces attempted murder charges.
