Costco reported February sales were up 8-percent, as more members drove in for deals on gasoline and stayed to do more of their shopping.
Thursday morning, the North Fresno Costco was selling gas at $3.65 for a gallon of unleaded -- compared to another gas station just a block away at $3.93 a gallon.
The national average price, jumped 24 cents over the past eight days in large part to higher crude oil prices as nervous investors watch the political turmoil in the Middle East.
