It happened just before 7 p.m. Tuesday at a home on Church and Pearl Streets.
Investigators left a little more than an hour ago and say the gunmen and some of his accomplices still haven't been found. Officers say they intentionally targeted two men inside a parked car that also had a little child inside.
Sanger Police put two men into handcuffs and placed them in the back of a squad car Tuesday night. Investigators arrested this man wearing a black shirt and say he's involved with the shooting.
A neighbor who didn't want to be identified says she heard gun shots and called 911. "We like just ran inside. That's pretty much it. I didn't see anybody but we've just seen a car, a guy run after it and gunshots."
Investigators say someone walked up to a car parked near this house with its garage door up and opened fire.
"When they arrived they found three victims in a vehicle parked just west of where the shooting occurred. One of the victims being a small child," said Cpl. Brandon Coles with the Sanger Police Dept.
Fortunately no one was injured.
This is the third shooting in Sanger over the past 11 days. The previous two included a murder next to a middle school and a case of shots fired near an elementary school. The violence prompted police to issue a 10 p.m. curfew for minors that went into effect last Friday.
The Fresno Police Department's Violent Crime Impact Team is helping to enforce the curfew, but none of its officers investigated the shooting.
Meanwhile Sanger detectives don't believe this was a random act of violence. "At this time we believe it's possibly gang related. But again investigation is still ongoing," said Coles.
Sanger Police have not yet released a description of the gunman. If you have any information in this case, give them a call.
