Visalia Police search for a bank robber

VISALIA, Calif.

It happened around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning at the "Bank Of The West" in Visalia on South Mooney Boulevard and Beech Street.

Visalia police shut down the branch for several hours to investigate. Surveillance pictures show the suspect handing a note to the teller.

Police say the suspect wore a yellow Los Angeles Lakers hat, an orange bandana around his neck, and a blue shirt. He also carried a green backpack.

Police believe the man is in his late 50's with brown hair and brown eyes.
